LCG is an independent, 100% employee-owned institutional investment-consulting firm.  Our consulting staff provides asset allocation and investment planning services for corporate trusts, retirement plans, operating funds, nuclear decommissioning trusts, foundations, endowments, healthcare organizations and other institutional asset pools.  The company is based in Atlanta, with additional offices in Dallas and Charlotte.

LCG Associates is one of the oldest independent investment consulting firms in the United States.  The firm was incorporated in 1973 as a Defined Benefit pension investment consulting firm.  The original mission of the company was to assist Defined Benefit plan sponsors in designing investment strategies which would fulfill the requirements and meet the standards of new ERISA legislation.  Throughout the 70's, 80's and 90's, the company has expanded its client base to defined contribution plans, endowments, foundations, insurance pools and other institutional assets.

The firm was purchased in 1988 by USF&G and was bought back from USF&G in 1992 by 4 of the current principals.  LCG will continue to reward ownership in the firm to employees that have demonstrated excellence and honesty as a part of our team.  We believe this is the way to attract and retain talent in our industry.

Institutional investment consulting is our only business.  We are not a parent, subsidiary or affiliate of any other firm.  Nor do we have any affiliations, subsidiaries or soft-dollar fee arrangements.  Being independent allows us to give objective and unbiased advice to all LCG clients.

LCG is a firm of investment strategists.  The company also has several academicians and outside advisors (detailed biographies on all LCG investment professionals and outside experts can be found in the Professional Team section).  All of our reporting, modeling and analytical systems are proprietary and internally developed.

We believe each consultant should focus on a small number of client relationships. This allows each consultant to be proactive in consulting to clients.
